Biography:
Demarche Artistique / Artist’s Statement My photography is expressed as a universal collection of pictorial themes that speak of our common world. Photographic images to me yield a bond between different elements of a life force including the notion of God's creation. Photography became a tangible, outward expression of powerful emotions and appreciations, which I could, at first, only catch in unrelated activities and introspections. These energies ricocheted until melded by making, and searching of, my favorite photographs & photographers -- Robert Capa being my favorite. Image making became art when it materialized my emotions into chords of human value, fulfillment of expectation, and, when summed, consolidation of tangible meaning. The power of life expressed in the photograph became profound. Selected to exhibit in Florence Italy and Barcelona Spain was followed bu my work published whereby the artistic director requested exclusive use of my images. Other artistic activities, though personally fulfilling, do not best express to me the power of human value found in the photograph. Currently I am working on several exhibitons including a solo exhibit here in Montreal during the summer of 06
