Choosing a Digital Camera

The goal of this course is simply to give enough information to choose a digital camera wisely. There are more than a hundred current digital camera models available today, making choosing the right one a difficult task, particularly with many models being extremely similar and difficult to distinguish.

This short course teaches about different types of cameras, what their specifications mean and the use of different features. The principal of this is to teach potential buyers which specifications and features are needed for different subjects and types of photography. The compromises of quality, performance and bulk are covered as well. Topics covered include: resolution, megapixels, zoom, camera-types (point-and-shoot, ultra-zoom, DSLR, etc.), viewfinders, photographic controls, lenses, stabilization and more.

UN MOT SUR LE CONFÉRENCIER

Itai Danan
Itai Danan discovered photography as a way to share his passion for travel. Wanting to share the world's exotic beauty and unique character, he voraciously learned everything he could about photography, finally joining the National Geographic Photo Summit to learn from masters of photography including pullizer-prize winner Jack Dykinga, Bill Allen, Chis Johns, Ed Riddell, Tom Mangelsen and Jay Maisel. He now sells fine-art prints through Neoluminance.com and also runs Neocamera.com, an online digital camera buying guide, information and review site visited by millions.
