We give you the equipment in a precise order and storage method known to all. For example, there is a technique for rolling cables that you are not supposed to ignore. The "softboxes" are stored according to the rules of the art and, like your entire order, must be returned to us exactly as given at the start of your rental. The same goes for transport crates and their contents; there is an organizational logic to all our storage which is unknown to anyone in the industry, because we do it with full knowledge of the facts, the rules of the art known to all. This allows durability and maintenance for the most pleasant professional use. You are expected to respect this as any professional. At the very least, you should be aware of it.
Strictly, no photographic equipment, according to the manufacturers, is designed to endure cold or hot temperatures (let alone humidity or water or ice) and it is customary that no equipment is left without direct supervision. For example when parking in a vehicle in the middle of winter or in the back seat in summer with direct sunlight. You are expected to monitor and protect the equipment at all times and never subject it to bad weather or temperature fluctuations.
The demonstration of the operation of the equipment can unfortunately only be summary. We believe that complex systems will be used and handled professionally. Rental equipment is checked before and after each use. However, you must notify us immediately if a problem occurs. We will do our best to resolve it as quickly as possible. If you take it upon yourself to produce a solution without consulting us, you will not be able to resort to any form of compensation/reimbursement. You must consult us.
In certain cases, we will request that proof of insurance be provided to us for rentals where the value of the equipment exceeds $5,000.
