Why does the printed version of my photos look different from what I see on screen? We often have surprises when we print our photos.
Each participant will bring a photograph in RAW format. We will choose one at random which we will develop in Lightroom and print on Epson Velvet Fine Arts paper. The participant whose photo has been chosen will be able to leave with it.
Why does the printed version of my photos look different from what I see on screen?
We often have surprises when we print our photos, whether in a photo lab or using a printer connected to our computer. The colors are different and often the printed version is darker than what we see on screen.
However, it is possible to obtain a predictable result. This is why we have developed this workshop where you will have the opportunity to see for yourself that by using the soft proofing technique with appropriate lighting, the colors displayed on the screen correspond very precisely to the printed copy. You will also see the importance of screen calibration. The workshop begins with a theoretical presentation of color management concepts and continues with a demonstration of the entire process.
Overview of color management concepts
Computer screen calibration
Raffle of a photo brought by the participants
Developing this photo in Lightroom
On-screen preview of the photo to be printed
