We can read the user manual for our camera, or even take a course that explains the multitude of buttons and functions, but when the time comes to practice, it is much less obvious.
You do the workshops at your own pace, without any particular deadline. You can take as much time as you need, as new dates are added regularly for each workshop.
We can read the user manual for our camera, or even take a course that explains the multitude of buttons and functions, but when the time comes to practice, it is much less obvious. Composition concepts like the rule of thirds look good in examples given in books and in theory classes, but when it comes to finding the highlight in a real scene, it's something else.
That's why we've designed a workshop series that emphasizes real-world learning and practice in small groups. These courses are aimed at beginner and intermediate amateur photographers. You will have the opportunity to master the technique of your camera and to apply the concepts of shooting and composition in practice.
The workshops are given in small groups of a maximum of 5 participants. Thus, you have the full attention of the teacher for a course adapted to your level and you are certain to master the concept taught.
These workshops take place all year round on weekends. Each workshop deals in depth with a specific subject. This way, you are not overwhelmed with information and can easily master the different aspects of photography.
The photo course is divided into twelve workshops, half of which focuses on the technical aspect and the other half on the artistic aspect. You can register individually for the workshops of your choice. Each workshop includes a theoretical portion where we explain the concepts, followed by an intensive practical session in small groups to give everyone the necessary attention. We complete each workshop with a viewing session and comments on the photos taken during the practical portion.
If you have a basic fixed lens camera, the best course to start with is the art of composition in art workshops.
We'll give you all kinds of ways to take great photos no matter what device you own.
If you have a more advanced camera where you can change the lens, the Light Mastery 1 course is the best course to start in the technical workshops section. We'll explain how your camera captures light and how to get good photos in various lighting conditions
